Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman (born May 19, 1928 in Richmond, Surrey, England; died December 16, 1982 in East Carleton, Norfolk, England) was an influential English design engineer, inventor and builder of cars. He was the founder of Lotus Cars, and their Formula One sister company, Team Lotus. He was also a F1 driver, driving for Vanwall in 1956, but he did not start a race.
